Instant-Win Strategies

In a duel you have to struggle for tens of turns. You must plan, defend, attack, counter and strategize. However, in my search for combos and strategies I found some instant win strategies. If these combos are drawn and played right they could win you the duel. There are many of these strategies and combos, but only a handful have been encountered. Since, this is an ongoing adventure, this is not the end of this post and I will update it every time I find a new combo.

1. Jackpot Combo

This combo is very complex and requires you to possess 5 cards and spell/traps to protect your monsters.

Required Cards:

3 Jackpot 7 (spell cards)
Morphing Jar
Mystic Box
Cards to protect Morphing jar
(Prevent morphing jar's destruction ex. impenetrable attack, waboku)
1 Strong monster

When this card is activatedShuffle this card from the field into theDeck. When this card in your possession is sent to the Graveyard by an opponent's card effectBanish this card. If 3 of your "Jackpot 7" are currently banished, and were all banished by this effect, you win the Duel.

FLIP: Both players discard their entire hands, then draw 5 cards.

Target 1 monster your opponent controls and 1 monster you control;destroy the first target, then give control of the second target to your opponent.

TURN 1

STEP 1: Summon morphing jar to the field in face down defense position.

STEP 2: Place the spells/traps to protect morphing jar face down on the field.

TURN 2  Assuming that your morphing jar was untouched by your opponent follow these steps to end the duel.

STEP 1: Activate mystic box to give up possession of morphing jar and destroy your opponents monster in the process.

STEP 2: Summon a strong monster of your choice and attack your face down morphing jar your opponent now controls. This will activate its flip effect and will destroy your hand. In this discarded hand will be the three jackpot 7 cards. When they arrive at the graveyard, they banish themselves (because morphing jar belonged to the opponent and Jackpot 7's effect states that it must be sent to the grave by your opponent's effect). Since, three Jackpot 7s are currently banished you win the duel.

ALTERNATIVES: There are other ways to use this strategy such as using cards "Dark Deal" or "Fabled Dianaira" to force your opponent to force you to discard cards. But, I feel that this strategy is less time consuming. With the perfect hand, you can win the duel in two turns.

2. Immortal of Thunder

*NOTE* There is a lot of confusion in using immortal of thunder for an OTK. Some sources state that "Immortal of Thunder" can be used with "Barrel Behind the Door" to gain life points and decrease your opponent's life points. However this doesn't work, because the effect of barrel behind the door states that any damage dealt to you will be dealt to your opponent instead. However, immortal of thunder's ability forces you to lose life points not take damage.

TOP 10 Yugioh Monsters

Yugioh Monster Countdown

There is a lot of controversy on the strongest and most useful yugioh monsters. Through my years as a duelist I have seen many strong cards. It has taken a while for me to order these monsters, because they are all good. Here's my opinion on the strongest monsters ever made.

earthbound immortal wiroqocha rasca
chaos emperor dragon
blue eyes shining dragon
vennominaga
sophia the goddess of rebirth

10. Star Eater

DESCRIPTION
Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
Must be Synchro Summoned, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This card's Synchro Summon cannot be negated. When Synchro Summoned, cards and effects cannot be activated. If this card attacks, it is unaffected by other card effects until the end of the Damage Step.

REVIEW
Star Eater is an amazing synchro monster. This high leveled synchro does not require any special type of tuning and can be summoned with any tuner and non-tuner, which match its level. It has okay attack and defense (I have seen better attack strength for this high of a level monster). A downside is that it cant be special summoned, so monster reborn can't help you here. However, it has an effect similar to that of the legal Egyptian god cards, so its summoning cant be stopped with things like trap hole and cards cant be activated until the end of the phase it was summoned. This card has another great bonus which makes it unstoppable when it attacks. It is unaffected when it attacks. So tricks like gravity bind wont work this time. With this kind of effect, you can attack without worrying about face downs!  The only downside to this is that this monster can be destroyed during any other phase. Which means it is permanently stuck in the graveyard, due to its restriction on special summoning.

9. Wicked Avatar

DESCRIPTION
This card cannot be Special Summoned. This card cannot be normal or set except by tributing 3 monsters monsters. Your opponent cannot activate any spell or trap cards until the end of their 2nd turn after this card was normal summoned. The ATK and DEF of this card are each 100 points higher than the highest face-up monster's ATK on the field (except "The Wicked Avatar")

REVIEW
The Wicked Avatar is one of the three wicked gods, the rivals of the three Egyptian gods. This card has an amazing and game changing effect that amazes duelists. One downside to this card is that it cant be special summoned. But when it is summoned, by tributing three monsters it prevents your opponent from using spells and traps until the end of their 2nd turn after this card's summon. How cool is that. So, for two turns all your opponent can do is attack. Attacking wont do much good either, because this card always has more attack than all monsters on the field (Chaos Armityle Phantom is useless). So, in these two turns you can destroy your opponents monsters and s/he can't do s*** about it. The major weakness in this card is that you must have another monster out for it wage direct attacks. This is because, when all of your opponents monsters are destroyed this card's ATK becomes 0. However, if you you have another monster out it will have 100 ATK more than that card and can attack your opponent directly.

8. Odin Father of The Aesir

DESCRIPTION
1 "Nordic AscendantTuner + 2 or more non-Tuner monsters
Once per turn: You can make this card be unaffected by Spell/Trap effects until the the end of this turn. During the End Phase, if this face-up card you controlled was destroyed by your opponent's card (by battle or card effect) and sent to your Graveyard this turn: You can banish 1 "Nordic Ascendant" Tuner monster from your Graveyard; Special Summon this card. When Summoned this way: You can draw 1 card.

REVIEW
Odin Father of The Aesir is the strongest of the three nordic/ polar god cards. Odin is also recognized one of the best cards in Yugioh 5ds. To begin with he is quite hard to summon, because of his tuner restriction. But with
"Valkyrie of the Nordic Ascendant" you can summon him quickly. The major bonus for this card is that you can make it unaffected by all spells and traps on your turn. This includes face downs, field spells and face up spells and traps. A negative factor is that it is vulnerable to monster effects and can be destroyed with spells and traps on your opponents turn. However, this card has an ability, which gives it two lives. By banishing the nordic ascendant tuner you have in your graveyard you can bring this card back and draw 1 card. If you have a dedicated deck for this card and have more than one nordic ascendant in your grave, then Odin has multiple lives and you can draw multiple cards. With a whopping high attack of 4000, you can deal your opponent a lot of damage with its unavoidable attacks.

7. Obelisk The Tormentor

DESCRIPTION
Requires 3 Tributes to Normal Summon (cannot be Normal Set). This card's Normal Summon cannot be negated. When Normal Summoned, cards and effects cannot be activated. Cannot be targeted by Spells,Traps, or card effects. During the End Phase, if this card was Special SummonedSend it to the Graveyard. You can Tribute 2 monstersdestroy all monsters your opponent controls. This card cannot declare an attack the turn this effect is activated.

REVIEW
As one of the legal versions of the god cards, obelisk takes 7th place with his awesome powers. Although in the anime, Winged Dragon of Ra was shown as the most powerful god (I vote for Slifer), in the playing card game, Obelisk is the mightiest. This is because of his powers of immunity from being targeted by card effects. He did get nerfed but he is still quite a force to be reckoned with. His abilities of clearing the field are still included.

6. Apoqliphort Towers

HEY DUELISTS!!!!!!!!

               Yu-gi-oh Is Awesome!!!!!!

MUSHROOM TO MAN: Can I play with you?

MAN TO MUSHROOM: No. Why should I play with you?

MUSHROOM TO MAN: Cuz I'm a fun guy (fungi)

A joke more suited to our topic would be like :

"I wanna flip you facedown and inflict piercing damage."

No don't worry. I'm not gonna torment you with my bad jokes.  Anyways, I'm just a guy that loves Yugioh. I watched all the shows and I play the card game with my friends and I am just addicted to it. Yugioh is just awesome and I loved to see people blog about their opinions on each card or even packs. This helped me a lot on making my decisions on which packs or cards I should buy. So, I thought of doing this myself. So, here I am in my own blog to offer you advice and help you become a better duelist. Just keep reading and keep dueling!!!
